Kai Li & Aaron Stunner Wedding Day

I had the opportunity to shoot Kai Li and Aaron's wedding day on 5th Dec 2009. Assisting GilbertWong.com as a second shooter was great fun! Kai Li is an absolute natural with the camera while Aaron is witty with his ideas and tricks during the Sabo hurdles prepared by the zi muis :) I had the privilege to do the coverage on the bride's side so here are some highlight shots of the day. Enjoy! :D

Ambitions & Dreams

Sometimes, I get so caught up in competitiveness and comparison ( you need some, but too much is not good) that I fail to see and be content with what I have. Personally, photography is one of the best teachers for patience, gratefulness and humbleness.

Patience come into training as all I have is a compact digital camera. Sometimes I get stuck in the mindset that my gear limits me (well it does to a certain extend). I get so engrossed seeing other photographers with dslr cameras shooting away. Probably because I dream to be a professional dslr photographer in the future. I trust that one day, I will be my dream and I need to want it enough to have it. As for now I should be gratefully content with what I have (some people cant afford compact cameras :/) and use it to the fullest.

Humbleness; seeing so many photographers blooming around me and shooting amazing shots! It always brings me back to reality and is a source of inspiration to improve. My biggest competitor is myself. Sometimes when it is all a drag, I should just zone out to spot the blessings in life :)

My wish to you for you to hold on in life is that
whatever your dream is, though it may seem like a long track there hold on to it. :)

Never give up your dream(s) and dream BIG.

The Curious Case of William Street

Last Sunday, the day began with the sun shining on my face. Sunny and cool weather day, i intended to go out to get stuff before I head out to the city. The moment I stepped out of my apartment door, i was greeted with...

BROKEN, CRACKED, NoT YET SHATTER TO THE FLOOR, MAIN DOOR GLASS!

:( being shocked I called my other housemate out.. tried to look for evidence of weapon used but found nothing on the floor. and no, i didnt try to walk through the door the previous night.heh. Easter break was on then, so no management would be in until today. So being helpless, I might as well take some nice shots! :D

me likey this shot. it breaks in a very nice way huh. .

ps: nobody was hurt, so all is well. :)
Have a great week ahead! :D

F.R.O.G

Fully Rely On God.

Being overseas in a foreign country made me realised that I would need to rely on God on so many more things than before. Leaving your comfort zone behind is never easy, let alone if sustaining by your own strength and wisdom. I can't carry forward my expectation or ways that I used to operate in. When circumstances change, without realising you are to be forced to accept and change. Wherever you go, everything will change. But one thing that I know, out of all the changes that happens, there is an element that is always constant. God is constant. How comforting to acknowledge that in all the which, how, who, when, where God remains constant and never changes regardless in whatever circumstances.

To me, it comforts me in my not-comfort-zone that God is here with me and will never leave me although other things/people would. How amazing it is to know someone is ever faithful to you when you might not even be faithful to Him at numerous times. I rest assure you that you can never find another person like Him.

Baking . .

made easy peasy and fun when having the right company. :)

my very first cake! haha, mind those many many bubble holes on top.

It started out as an experimental and creative idea for the fun-filled holiday gifts for everyone. Thanks to my genius dearest boy and with help from auntie, who knew baking was not that creepy after all? heh.

uh huh uh huh, thick butter sponge cake!

The aroma that filled the air *sniffles the air* ahhh... The smell of success! haha. AH! but just not yet, still have to carefully pack and then few hours before giving out, packed it into the gift box. A long process but so what? I have my dearest to help me and we had fun!

got nuts and raisins!

Im glad our gift recipients liked it. Thank you everyone for being the guinea-pig.
Tee hee hee. :D

my dearest cake nicer, no bubble holes like mine. got talent huh :)
